Practice Areas
Our firm under Frontier Paralegal Professional Corporation specializes in the following areas of law. As our firm is a paralegals firm we are only authorized to work with matters in Small Claims Courts under $35,000.
Personal Injury Law
Personal injury law refers to the legal remedies and defenses involved in civil lawsuits brought as a result of wrongful conduct. In fact, the word “tort” comes from a Latin term meaning twist, wrong, or harm.
Examples: Slipping and falling on ice/snow in a commercial area or getting injured at work (WSIB Claims).
Debt Collection and Enforcement of Judgements
Our firm not only obtains judgements on behalf of our clients but also helps them to collect the monies awarded in the judgements.
If you have secured a judgment against a defendant in a Small Claims Court and are unable to retrieve the funds, our firm can also help you by retrieving your funds quickly and efficiently.
Our methods of collection are effective, affordable and most importantly not hostile.
Contract Law
A contract is a voluntary arrangement between two or more parties that is enforceable by law as a binding legal agreement.
Contracts come in various forms such as construction, services, partnerships, employment etc.
Legal issues arise when one party fails to complete, improperly completes or delays to perform a promise under contract.
Examples: Incomplete construction job, failure to return the loan, improper job on a vehicle. breaking a lease or rental agreement etc.
Landlord and Tenants Disputes
Regulated by the The Landlord and Tenant Board, these disputes can be complicated and may affect landlord's investment or tenant's livelihood, so it’s really important that one receives the best advice from the beginning.
As a landlord, we will help you with cost-effective and commercial advice about what to do if your tenant fails to pay rent, refuses to make repairs to the property or fails to comply with the terms of their rental agreement.
If you are a tenant, we can help you with tactical advice if your landlord does not comply with his obligations or if you want to challenge claims made by him.
Misc.
We also review your contracts and write legal letters under a flat fee.
Criminal Law - Summary Conviction
Such offences encompass minor offences in the Criminal Code. Examples are “cause disturbance” and “harassing telephone calls.” Unless a different penalty is specified, summary conviction offences are punishable by a fine of up to $5,000 or six months' jail or both.
Examples: Causing a Disturbance, Trespassing at Night, Solicitation, Transportation Fraud.
Notary Public
A notary public can serve as an official witness to the execution (signing) of contracts, agreements, and an almost limitless array of legal documents.
A Notary has the authority to administer oaths, solemn affirmations, and declarations that are used for affidavits and statutory declarations.
Traffic Tickets
A traffic ticket is a notice issued by a law enforcement official to a motorist or other road user, accusing violation of traffic laws.
If you have received a traffic ticket recently for example for Careless Driving, Stunt Driving, Driving Under Suspension, Speeding or any other violation then our firm can help you in resolving it.
We are dedicated towards keeping your driving record clean with our great track record for achieving great results for all of our clients.
